Privacy policy

This policy describes which personal data PlanVolt processes, why, and what your rights are. In short: we only collect what is needed to provide the service, we never resell anything, and our visitor statistics work without cookies.

Who is responsible?

The data controller is Koding.AI BV, creator of PlanVolt, Groeneweg 11, 9340 Lede, company number BE0729.598.663. Questions about this policy: info@koding.ai.

Which data do we process?

We process three categories of data:

  • Account data: your name, e-mail address and (encrypted) password, created at registration.
  • Project data: everything you enter in the app yourself — floor plans, diagrams, and optionally addresses or EAN numbers of projects.
  • Technical data: limited server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) to keep the service safe and stable.

What do we use it for?

To provide and support the service, to invoice you if you pick a paid plan, and to meet legal obligations. We never sell or rent your data to third parties and do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

For visitor statistics we use Matomo, hosted on our own servers. It runs without cookies: nothing is stored on your device, your data goes to no third party, and there is no profiling or advertising use — no consent is required for that. Fonts are also served from our own servers. The app itself uses only functional cookies and local storage to sign you in and keep your work.

Who do we share data with?

Only with processors needed to provide the service: our hosting partner (servers within the EU) and, once you pay, the payment provider handling the transaction. A data processing agreement is in place with each of them. Beyond that, only when a legal obligation compels us.

How long do we keep data?

As long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your data from active systems within 30 days; backups expire automatically after that. Invoicing data is kept as long as accounting law requires.

Security

All connections are encrypted (TLS). Passwords are never stored readable. Access to production systems is limited to those who need to administer them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to object to certain processing. E-mail info@planvolt.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will notify you by e-mail or in the app. The most recent version is always on this page.
